A rocky economy has definitely claimed its share of victims. The housing market was one of the first markets to see the spiraling down turn. Remember they are not in the market to sell homes so they are sometimes giving these homes away for little or nothing just to get them off there books, and because they know they are competing with regular home sellers, and builders they are willing to provide bigger discounts to get rid of them.
